Speaker: Diane Simovich- Author, Founder & President of BWNICE
Topic: Towards the Light : Journeys of Hope, Courage and Inspiration 

Diane is Founder and President of BW NICE, Business Women Networking Involving Charity & Education, a professional women’s empowerment organization established in April 2009, in central New Jersey. BW NICE provides women at all stages of business and personal life with support, education and resources and sees value in the balance of business networking and charitable outreach. Each BW NICE Chapter is dedicated to raising awareness and critical funds supporting a local organization to help end domestic violence and sexual abuse.
 
Inspired by a successful model she co-founded and cultivated in California; Diane sought to build connections with like-minded businesswomen in her community amid personal hardships. These challenges, including the aftermath of an abusive marriage leading to divorce, the tragic loss of her only sibling to suicide, and the passing of her father, drew her back to her New Jersey roots to be closer to family.
 
In October 2017, Diane introduced her book, "Towards The Light," a poignant collection featuring seventeen personal stories from women who triumphed over domestic violence, bravely overcoming immense challenges to find hope and healing for themselves and others. This impactful book serves as both an educational tool for the wider community and a valuable resource for those in need.
 
Diane's dedication to supporting survivors earned her the Barbara W. McConnell Social Justice Award in 2017 from SAFE in Hunterdon, the domestic violence agency in Hunterdon County, NJ. This award recognized her unwavering commitment to providing support and her ongoing mission to raise awareness about domestic violence.
