I work at the Center at Hampton House in Jenkintown, where I support individuals with different abilities and their families during the critical transition from youth to adulthood. This period is key for developing essential life skills and navigating the adult services system. I focus on helping families understand and manage the "services cliff," where young adults with different abilities often face a sudden disruption in services as they graduate, including varying eligibility requirements across states and the loss of specialized educational support. At the Center, I provide valuable resources and guidance to support young adults and their families in preparing for this transition and overcoming the challenges they may face as they move from school to adulthood.
